City Girl

Christmas is upon us once again and you know what that means.... PARTY TIME!!! Oh, the fun I've been having! What have I been doing? What haven't I been doing?! For now, let's just stick to what I have been doing.
I caught up with my best friend Kitty at the Green T House, near the Worker's Stadium. It was a lovely meal, though it was a bit distracting when one of their birds escaped and flew around knocking over wine glasses. Kitty has been working with a fashion company recently - she just came up with an amazing idea for a handbag made entirely of zippers, so that you can open it from whichever direction you want. This was a big hit with the management and it looks like they may be grooming Kitty for bigger and better things!
I've been feeling like taking up a new hobby lately, something where I can meet people - mature adults who know how to have fun. You know, just like me! I was thinking maybe pony trekking or some kind of reading group, so I looked online and found a website called "Adult Friend Finder". I said I was interested in all kinds of group activities, and frankly I have been a bit weirded out by most of the replies. Some of them are kind of intriguing though. There's a group of people who I think are into jetskiing, windsurfing, that kind of thing, so the next time I have a break from work I might go along. Sounds fun!
Speaking of work, it's just been work, work, work. I had to stand behind a welcome desk for five hours one weekend, mingling with the dignitaries at a conference as I gave them their name badges. My feet were killing me by the time I got home. I just wanted to relax, so I was very pleased when Arabella came round with half a bottle of sherry and we just kicked back and chatted until she fell asleep on the sofa.
In other exciting news, I've been dating a guy called Trent, who drives a Jeep and made his fortune selling helium balloons across the south-east of England. You should see the size of that Jeep - the other day we hit a dog and it was killed instantly. We weren't even going that fast! Trent is great.
Well, that's all for now. Happy Christmas everybody and a Merry New Year!
