Continuing gou-rou.com's perennial commitment to child development, we are proud to announce the winners of the fourth annual gou-rou.com-sponsored Children's Poetry Contest. This year's theme was "Suffering and Darkness". All the entries we received were wonderful, and our panel of judges had a tremendously hard time deciding on this year's top prize winners.

Top Prize: William Eldra (5 1/2 yrs old) - "Misery"

Endless...

...change.

William will receive a crate of wines from Riverside Cafe and unlimited access to the gou-rou.com website.

Runner up: Carrie Andrews (5 yrs old)

Darkness swamps my heart,
The light is far now, dimming
I see further than the end
Downwards, under the bed.
My terror spills forth like waves breaking
On a rotting pier
The sun has fallen.
Cold fog.

Carrie has won unlimited access to gou-rou.com and a special surprise visit from Angel Chu, who will take her for a makeover!!!!!

Special Prize for innovation: Mark Grant (4 1/4 years old)

Misery loves company,
but company is hard to find.
Rainbows and hurricanes,
uneasy bedfellows across time.
Falling out of bed,
painless unwaking
The blind spot spreads.

Mark will receive a set of gou-rou.com colouring pens and a gou-rou.com pin badge, and a month's free entry into Passion Bar and Club
